Gwinnett Community Outreach in partnership with the United Ebony Society of Gwinnett County, Inc., and Gwinnett County Parks & Recreation cordially invite you to participate in the 2018 Juneteenth Event in celebration of Gwinnett’s Bicentennial!
Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. Today, it is a time to celebrate African American freedom and achievement, while encouraging continuous self-development and respect for all cultures.
The free celebration will take place at the Yellow River Post Office which is home to one of only known slave cabins in Gwinnett County. This is event is fun for all ages!

What you can bring
This is a family style event! Guests are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs, coolers and food! Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park.
Parking
There are only 10 parking spaces at the Yellow River Post Office. Due to limited parking, all guests are required to park at Maranatha Baptist Church located at 3340 Five Forks Trickum Rd SW, Lilburn, GA 30047 (1/4 mile from the park) Overflow parking will be at New Mercies Christian Church located at 4000 Five Forks Trickum Rd SW, Lilburn, GA 30047. Shuttle service will provide pick-ups and drop-offs at each location throughout the day!
